My name is Vern Wichers, founder of Stun Guns To Pepper Spray and Bison River LLC.

I first became interested in self defense products back in 2005, when I saw coming an imminent downturn in the global economy and a corresponding increase in violent crime.

Since that time I have become an expert in the form of hand to hand combat practiced by the Israeli military known as Krav Maga. I am a level-3 practitioner of CKM, a level-4 practitioner of the original Krav Maga as well as a certified assistant instructor of KMG recognized world wide and currently instructing in the state of Florida. I am a firm believer in Krav Maga and other forms of effective self defense. Often times all that is required to survive an attack is a plan and a little training.

Though I am confident in my own ability to defend myself against armed or unarmed attack, not everyone has the time or energy to pursue the disciplined training necessary to become proficient at hand to hand combat. For this reason I offer a complete line of self defense products for the average person covering virtually any threat situation conceivable.

Do I use the products myself?
Yes!
There are times when I choose to carry pepper spray or one or another kind of stun gun as a second line of defense, for instance when I am walking downtown at night or jogging in an unfamiliar area or walking through a dimly lit parking garage. When I am mountain-biking or hiking I always carry a can of Bear Spray attached to the shoulder strap of my pack for fast access, because Krav Maga doesn’t always work on mountain lions, bears and other forms of toothy wildlife.
